AWD System: Fail-safe

If any malfunction occurs in AWD electrical system, and control unit detects the malfunction, AWD warning icon/display on information display is displayed to indicate system malfunction.
When AWD warning icon/display is displayed, vehicle changes to front-wheel drive.

C1203		ABS malfunction Vehicle speed signal error	AWD control changes to front-wheel drive gradually (rear wheels still have some driving torque), the AWD control stops and the vehicle becomes front-wheel drive.
