- Active Trace Control controls the braking utilizing the ABS actuator and electric unit (control unit), depending on cornering condition calculated from driver's steering input and plural sensors. Active Trace Control is aimed to enhance traceability at corners and smooth the vehicle movement to provide confident driving. When the PERSONAL mode is selected, Active Trace Control can be switched ON/OFF through the "Infiniti Drive Mode Selector" on the lower display. When the Active Trace Control is selected OFF, some functions will be kept ON to assist driver (for example, avoidance condition). When the VDC OFF switch is used to turn OFF the VDC system, the Active Trace Control system is also completely turned OFF.
- When a malfunction occurs in active trace control, the master warning lamp illuminates and at the same time the information display in the combination meter informs the driver.
NOTE:
- Active trace control may not be effective in all driving environments (traction conditions, etc.).
- When active trace control operates, vibration may be transmitted to the brake pedal, an operation sound may be heard, and a feeling of deceleration may be felt. These are not symptoms of malfunctions and indicate normal operating conditions.
