Description

1.

Transmission range switch

The transmission range switch transmits P (park) and N (neutral) signals to the IPDM E/R.

Refer to Transmission Range Switch (RE0F10D) or Transmission Range Switch (RE0F10H) for detailed component location.

2.

IPDM E/R

(Intelligent Power Distribution Module Engine Room)

  • The IPDM E/R detects push-button ignition switch status, and transmits the push-button ignition switch status signal (CAN) to the BCM.
  • The IPDM E/R receives ignition relay-1 (IPDM E/R) control signal and push-button ignition switch ON signal (CAN) from the BCM, and controls ignition relay-1 (built into IPDM E/R)

Refer to Component Location for detailed component location.

3.

Starter cut relay

(in relay box 1)

IPDM E/R controls the starter cut relay according to the request signal from the push-button ignition switch.

4.

Stop lamp switch

Stop lamp switch detects that the brake pedal is depressed and transmits the signal to the BCM.

Refer to Brake Pedal Position Switch / Stop Lamp Switch for detailed component location.

5.

BCM

(Body Control Module)

  • The BCM controls the power distribution system.
  • The BCM judges the push-button ignition switch status and vehicle condition.
  • The BCM checks the push-button ignition switch status internally.

Refer to Component Location for detailed component location.

6.

Front blower motor relay

[in fuse block (J/B)]

  • Front blower motor relay is controlled by the BCM.
  • Front blower motor supplies ignition switch ON power supply or push-button ignition switch ON signal to the air conditioning system when the push-button ignition switch is placed ON.
  • The BCM compares the status of front blower motor relay control signal and push-button ignition switch status judged by the push-button ignition switch.

7.

Ignition relay-2

[in fuse block (J/B)]

  • The ignition relay-2 is controlled by the BCM.
  • The ignition relay-2 supplies ignition switch ON power supply or push-button ignition switch ON signal to each ECU and system when the push-button ignition switch is placed ON.
  • The BCM compares the status of the ignition relay-2 control signal and push-button ignition switch status judged by the push-button ignition switch.
  • The BCM monitors the ignition relay-2 operating status by the ignition relay-2 feedback signal.

8.

Accessory relay

[in fuse block (J/B)]

  • The accessory relay is controlled by the BCM.
  • The accessory relay supplies accessory power supply or push-button ignition switch ON signal to each ECU when the push-button ignition switch is placed ON.
  • The BCM compares status of accessory relay control signal, and the push-button ignition switch status judged by the push-button ignition switch.

9.

Push-button ignition switch

Refer to Push-button Ignition Switch .

10.

CVT shift selector (detent switch)

The CVT shift selector (detent switch) sends the park position switch signal to the BCM.

Refer to Component Location (RE0F10D) or Component Location (RE0F10H) for detailed component location.
