Input Signal And Output Signal

Major signal transmission between each unit via communication lines is shown below in the following table.

Component parts

Signal description

ECM

Mainly transmits the following signals to chassis control module (with built in steering angle sensor) via CAN communication:

  • Accelerator pedal position signal
  • ECM malfunction signal
  • Engine speed signal
  • Engine status signal
  • Estimate drive torque signal
  • Request drive torque signal
  • Request drive torque status signal

ABS actuator and electric unit (control unit)

Mainly transmits the following signals to chassis control module (with built in steering angle sensor) via CAN communication:

  • ABS malfunction signal
  • ABS operation signal
  • Brake fluid pressure signal
  • Decel G signal
  • EBD malfunction signal
  • EBD operation signal
  • Front LH wheel speed signal
  • Front RH wheel speed signal
  • hill start assist display request signal
  • Rear LH wheel speed signal
  • Rear RH wheel speed signal
  • Side G signal
  • TCS malfunction signal
  • TCS operation signal
  • VDC accept permission signal
  • VDC malfunction signal
  • VDC OFF switch signal
  • VDC operation signal
  • Vehicle speed signal
  • Yaw rate signal

BCM

Mainly transmits the following signals to chassis control module (with built in steering angle sensor) via CAN communication:

  • BCM malfunction signal
  • Brake pedal position switch signal
  • Stop lamp switch signal
  • Turn signal switch signal

TCM

Mainly transmits the following signals to chassis control module (with built in steering angle sensor) via CAN communication:

  • Current gear position signal
  • CVT target gear ratio signal
  • CVT accept permission signal
  • Input speed signal
  • TCM malfunction signal

Combination meter

Mainly transmits the following signals to chassis control module (with built in steering angle sensor) via CAN communication:

  • Intelligent engine brake setting change request signal
  • Intelligent trace control setting change request signal
  • Combination meter malfunction signal

Mainly receives the following signals from chassis control module (with built in steering angle sensor) via CAN communication.

  • Intelligent engine brake display request signal
  • Intelligent engine brake setting display request signal
  • Active ride control display request signal
  • Intelligent trace control display request signal
  • Intelligent trace control setting display request signal
  • Chassis control malfunction display request signal
  • hill start assist display request signal
  • Meter display signal

IPDM E/R

Mainly transmits the following signal to the chassis control module (with built in steering angle sensor) via CAN communication.

  • Ignition switch ON signal
