Disassembly And Assembly: Disassembly

  1. Remove the front seat assembly. Refer to REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION - SEAT ASSEMBLY .
  2. Remove the headrest.
  3. Release the lower seatback trim retainer straps (C) from the seat frame assembly.

  4. Unzip the seatback zippers (A), then release J-hook (B).
  5. Release the headrest holder locks as shown below and remove the headrest holders.

    CAUTION:

    Before removing/installing the headrest holder, check its orientation (front/rear and right/left).

  6. The remaining parts of the seatback are serviced as part of the seat assembly.


  1. Remove the front seat assembly. Refer to REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION - SEAT ASSEMBLY .
  2. Remove the seat cushion outer finisher (LH).
    1. For manual seat:
      1. Release pawls and remove the lift lever finisher (2).

      2. Remove two screws and the lift lever (1).
      3. Release pawl and remove the recline lever (3) as shown, below.
      4. Release pawls and pull to release the metal clips then remove the seat cushion outer finisher [LH (4)].

    2. For power seat:

      1. Remove screw (A).
      2. Release metal clips (B) from the seat cushion frame (2), as shown, below.

      3. Release pawls to separate.
        MARU-H : Pawl
      4. Disconnect the harness connector (A) from the power seat switch (1).

      5. Remove screws (B) if necessary to replace the power seat switch (1).
      6. Disconnect the harness connector (D) from the lumbar support switch (2).
      7. Release pawls (C) if necessary to replace the lumbar support switch (2).
  3. Remove the seat cushion outer finisher [RH (1)].

    1. Remove the seat belt buckle (2) and position aside. Refer to EXPLODED VIEW WITH TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
    2. Release pawls and pull to release the metal clips.

  4. Remove the lower seatback flap trim retainer straps from the seat frame assembly.
  5. Remove the seat cushion trim (1) and seat cushion pad as an assembly.

    ARROW : Front
    1. Release J-clip (A) from the seat frame assembly.
    2. Release J-clip (B) from the seat frame assembly.
    3. Release J-clip (D) from the seat frame assembly.
    4. Release J-clip (C) from the seat frame assembly.
    5. Disconnect the harness connector from the seat cushion heater (if equipped) and release harness from seat frame assembly.
      NOTE:

      Take note of harness routing and attachment location for accurate installation.

    6. Remove the seat cushion trim and seat cushion pad as an assembly from the seat frame assembly.
  6. Separate the seat cushion trim from the seat cushion pad using the following steps.
    1. Except for NISMO:
      1. Remove the hog rings on the underside of the seat cushion trim and pad assembly.
      2. Remove the hog rings, release the hook fastener (A) and separate the seat cushion trim from the seat cushion pad.

        SHIKAKU-H : Hog ring
        NOTE:

        Remove all pieces of hog rings and discard them.

    2. For NISMO:
      1. Remove the hog rings on the underside of the seat cushion trim and pad assembly.
      2. Remove the hog rings and separate the seat cushion trim from the seat cushion pad.

        NOTE:

        Remove all pieces of hog rings and discard them.
