Disassembly And Assembly: Disassembly

  1. Remove the steering wheel. Refer to REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
  2. Remove the spiral cable screws. Then while pressing the upper tab, remove the combination switches and spiral cable as an assembly.
    CAUTION:
    • Do not disassemble spiral cable.
    • Do not apply lubricant to the spiral cable.
  3. Remove the bolt from the upper joint, then remove the upper joint from the steering column assembly.
  4. Remove the steering lock unit. Refer to REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION - STEERING LOCK UNIT .
