Removal and Installation: Removal
- Disconnect the battery negative terminal. Refer to "REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION (BATTERY) ".
- Remove cooling fan. Refer to "REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION ".
- Remove drive belt. Refer to "REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION ".
- Disconnect generator harness connector.
- Remove "B" terminal nut, and then disconnect "B" terminal harness.
- Remove generator bolt (upper).
- Completely loosen generator bolt (lower) (1), and pull it out until the bolt head is in contact with the side member. And then, remove the generator (2) by pulling it forward.
NOTE: The generator can be removed together with the bolts by pulling it forward and using the thermostat housing bolt hole cutout (A).
- Remove generator upward from the vehicle.
