Park Pin Switch Test

Remove the driver's center console trim (see step 4 under CENTER CONSOLE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION
Disconnect the 6P connector (A) from the shift lock solenoid/park pin switch/AT gear position indicator panel light connector (B).

Check for continuity between terminals No. 1 and No. 2.
- There should be continuity when the shift lever is moved out of P.
- There should be no continuity when the shift lever is moved to P.
If the continuity is not as specified, replace the park pin switch (see PARK PIN SWITCH REPLACEMENT ).
