Removal and Installation: Removal

CAUTION: When replacing TCM and transaxle assembly as a set, replace transaxle assembly first and then replace TCM. Refer to "SERVICE AFTER REPLACING TCM, TRANSAXLE ASSEMBLY, OR CONTROL VALVE ".
  1. Disconnect the battery negative terminal.
  2. Remove the fresh air intake tube (upper). Refer to AIR CLEANER AND AIR DUCT .
  3. Disconnect the TCM harness connector.
  4. Remove the TCM (1).


CAUTION: When replacing TCM and transaxle assembly as a set, replace transaxle assembly first and then replace TCM. Refer to "SERVICE AFTER REPLACING TCM, TRANSAXLE ASSEMBLY, OR CONTROL VALVE ".
  1. Disconnect the battery negative terminal.
  2. Remove the air cleaner case. Refer to AIR CLEANER AND AIR DUCT .
  3. Disconnect the TCM harness connector.
  4. Remove the TCM.
