Check Door Switch / With Navigation System

First perform the "SELF-DIAG RESULTS" in "BCM" with CONSULT-II, when perform the each trouble diagnosis. Refer to , " CAN COMMUNICATION INSPECTION USING CONSULT-II (SELF-DIAGNOSIS)  "  .

  1. CHECK DOOR SWITCH INPUT SIGNAL

    With CONSULT-II

    Check door switches ("DOOR SW-DR", "DOOR SW-AS" and "DOOR SW-RR") in "DATA MONITOR" mode with CONSULT-II.

    Without CONSULT-II

    Check voltage between combination meter connector and ground.

    OK or NG 

    1. OK : Door switch circuit is OK.
    2. NG : GO TO 2.
  2. CHECK DOOR SWITCH
    1. Turn ignition switch OFF.
    2. Disconnect door switch and combination meter connector.
    3. Check continuity between door switch connector B17, B23, B20, B32 terminals 1 and combination meter connector M19 terminals 7, 6, 9, 8.
      1. Front door switch driver side 

        1 (W) - 7 (W): Continuity should exist. 

      2. Front door switch passenger side 

        1 (P) - 6 (P): Continuity should exist. 

      3. Rear door switch LH 

        1 (P) - 9 (P): Continuity should exist. 

      4. Rear door switch RH 

        1 (P) - 8 (P): Continuity should exist. 

    4. Check continuity between door switch connector B17, B23, B20, B32 terminals 1 and ground.

    OK or NG 

    1. OK : GO TO 3
    2. NG : Repair or replace harness.

  3. CHECK DOOR SWITCH

    Check continuity between each door switch terminal 1 and body ground part of door switch.

    OK or NG 

    1. OK : GO TO 4.
    2. NG : Replace door switch.

  4. CHECK COMBINATION METER OUTPUT SIGNAL
    1. Connect combination meter connector.
    2. Check voltage between combination meter connector M19 terminals 6, 7, 8, 9 and ground.
      1. 6 (p) - Ground: Battery voltage 
      2. 7 (w) - Ground: Battery voltage 
      3. 8 (P) - Ground: Battery voltage 
      4. 9 (P) - Ground: Battery voltage 

    OK or NG 

    1. OK : Check harness connection.
    2. NG : Replace combination meter.
