System Operation Check

Turn ignition on. AIR BAG warning light should come on for about 7 seconds, then go off, indicating air bag system is okay.
- If AIR BAG warning light does not come on, go to AIR BAG WARNING LIGHT DOES NOT COME ON under DIAGNOSTIC TESTS.
- If AIR BAG warning light stays on, go to AIR BAG WARNING LIGHT STAYS ON under DIAGNOSTIC TESTS.
- If AIR BAG warning light comes on for about 7 seconds, goes off, then starts flashing, a fault code is set in memory. See DIAGNOSTICS .
