Removal & Installation: Starter

Disconnect negative battery cable. On coupe models, open driver and front passenger door windows PRIOR to disconnecting battery.
CAUTION: After battery cables are disconnected, DO NOT open/close the driver and/or front passenger door window in the full up position. The automatic window adjusting function will not work and side roof panel may be damaged.
Remove necessary engine undercovers for access to starter motor.
Disconnect "S" connector.
Remove "B" terminal nut.
Remove starter motor mounting bolts and harness connector clip bracket. See Fig 1 -Fig 3 .

Remove starter motor from under vehicle.
To install, reverse removal procedure. Tighten all bolts and nuts to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
