NOTE:
Nissan Vehicle Immobilizer System (NVIS) may also be referred to as Nissan Anti-Theft System (NATS).
Nissan Vehicle Immobilizer System (NVIS) consist of an ignition key, Immobilizer Unit (IMMU), Engine Control Module (ECM), SECURITY indicator light and related wiring.
This system requires a key that has been programed into ECM and IMMU to start vehicle. Up to 5 keys can be programmed. SECURITY light will blink with key in OFF or ACC position. When key is in ON position, SECURITY light will illuminate if a problem is encountered with system or an improper key is being used.
