Rear Caliper: Disassembly

- Remove rear disc caliper. See REAR BRAKE CALIPER . Remove brake pads with anti squeal shims. See Figure. Remove bolts and disc brake caliper mounting.
- Using a screwdriver, remove set ring and cylinder boot from disc brake caliper. Place a piece of cloth between piston and disc brake caliper. Use compressed air to remove piston from disc brake caliper.
- Using a screwdriver, remove piston seal from disc brake caliper. Do not damage inner caliper and caliper groove. Remove rear disc brake bleeder screw cap and screw. Check caliper bore and piston for rust or scoring.
