High Mounted Stop Light Assembly: Removal

  1. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL 
    CAUTION: Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to prevent airbag and seat belt pretensioner activation.
  2. REMOVE BACK DOOR GARNISH CENTER (See  DISASSEMBLY  ) 
  3. REMOVE BACK DOOR SIDE GARNISH LH (See  DISASSEMBLY  ) 
  4. REMOVE BACK DOOR SIDE GARNISH RH (See  DISASSEMBLY  ) 
  5. REMOVE BACK DOOR GARNISH SUB-ASSEMBLY OUTSIDE 
  6. REMOVE CENTER STOP LIGHT ASSEMBLY 
    1. Disconnect the connector.
    2. Remove the 4 nuts and detach the 2 claws, and then remove the center stop light.
