Hazard Warning Switch: Inspection

  1. INSPECT AIR CONDITIONING AMPLIFIER ASSEMBLY (HAZARD WARNING SWITCH) 
    1. Inspect the hazard warning switch resistance.
      1. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

        Standard resistance 

        CONNECTOR TERMINAL RESISTANCE SPECIFICATIONS

        Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
        9 - 25 OFF 10 kΩ or higher
        9 - 25 ON Below 1 Ω
      2. Connect the positive lead (+) from the battery to terminal 25 and the negative (-) lead to terminal 9, and then check that the light comes on.

        OK: Light comes on. 



  1. INSPECT AIR CONDITIONING AMPLIFIER ASSEMBLY (HAZARD WARNING SWITCH) 
    1. Inspect the hazard warning switch resistance.
      1. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

        Standard resistance

        9 - 25 OFF 10 kΩ or higher
        9 - 25 ON Below 1 Ω
      2. Connect the positive lead (+) from the battery to terminal 25 and the negative (-) lead to terminal 9, and then check that the light comes on.

        OK: Light comes on.
