Side Airbag Sensor: Removal

CAUTION: Be sure to read the precautionary notices concerning the SRS airbag system before servicing it (see PRECAUTION  ).
  1. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL 
    CAUTION: Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to prevent airbag and seat belt pretensioner activation.
  2. REMOVE FRONT DOOR LOWER FRAME BRACKET GARNISH LH (See  DISASSEMBLY  ) 
  3. REMOVE ASSIST GRIP COVER LH (See  DISASSEMBLY  ) 
  4. REMOVE FRONT ARMREST BASE PANEL UPPER LH (See  DISASSEMBLY  ) 
  5. REMOVE FRONT DOOR TRIM BOARD SUBASSEMBLY LH (See  DISASSEMBLY  ) 
  6. REMOVE SIDE AIRBAG SENSOR ASSEMBLY LH 
    1. Disconnect the connector.
    2. Remove the 2 nuts and sensor.
