Front Seat Assembly: Removal

HINT:

  1. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL 
    CAUTION: Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to prevent airbag and seat belt pretensioner activation.
  2. REMOVE SEAT TRACK BRACKET COVER OUTER LH 
    1. Using a screwdriver, detach the 2 claws and remove the bracket cover.

    HINT:

    Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

  3. REMOVE SEAT TRACK BRACKET COVER INNER LH 
    1. Using a screwdriver, detach the 3 claws and remove the cover.

    HINT:

    Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

  4. REMOVE FRONT SEAT HEADREST ASSEMBLY 
  5. REMOVE FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY 
    1. Lift up the seat track adjusting handle and move the seat to the rearmost position.
    2. Remove the 2 bolts on the front side of the seat.
    3. Lift up the seat track adjusting handle and move the seat to the foremost position.
    4. Remove the 3 bolts on the rear side of the seat.
    5. Lift up the seat track adjusting handle and move the seat to the center position. Also, operate the reclining adjuster release handle and move the seatback to the upright position.
    6. Disconnect the connectors under the seat. Then remove the front seat.
    NOTE: Be careful not to damage the vehicle body.
