Rear Axle Hub Bolt: Replacement

HINT:

• Use the same procedures for the RH side and LH side.
• The procedures listed below are for the LH side.

1. DISCONNECT REAR WHEEL 
2. REMOVE REAR DISC BRAKE CYLINDER ASSEMBLY 
   1. Disconnect the rear disc brake cylinder assembly (See REMOVAL ).
3. REMOVE REAR DISC 
4. REMOVE REAR AXLE HUB BOLT 
   1. Temporarily install the 2 nuts to the hub bolts as shown in the illustration.
   2. Using SST and a brass bar or equivalent to hold the axle shaft, and remove the hub bolt.

5. INSTALL REAR AXLE HUB BOLT 
   1. Install a plate washer and nut to a new hub bolt, as shown in the illustration.
   2. Using a brass bar or equivalent to hold the axle shaft, and install the hub bolt by torquing the nut.
   3. Remove the 2 nuts from the hub bolts.

6. INSTALL REAR DISC 
7. INSTALL REAR DISC BRAKE CYLINDER ASSEMBLY 
   1. Install the rear disc brake cylinder assembly (See INSTALLATION ).
8. INSTALL REAR WHEEL 

   Torque: 103 N.m (1,050 kgf.cm, 76 ft.lbf)
