Low Oil Pressure Switch

NOTE: Oil pressure should be over 3.55 psi (0.25 kgs/cm2 , 24.5 kPa).
  1. Disconnect the connector from the switch.
  2. Check that continuity exists between terminal and ground with the engine stopped. See Fig 1.
  3. Check that no continuity exists between terminal and ground with the engine running.
  4. If operation is not as specified, replace the switch.
    • If replacing switch, apply adhesive to 2 or 3 threads of the new oil pressure switch before installing and torque to 9 ft.lbs. (13 N.m).
