Brake Actuator: Notes

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2002 Lexus RX 300. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
NOTE: Do not keep motor relay on for more than 5 seconds continuously. If operating continuously, stop for more than 20 seconds between running times. NEVER turn on a solenoid which is not described.
NOTE: Refer to LEXUS hand-held tester operator's manual for further details.
  1. Connect hand-held tester to (DLC3). See Fig 1.
  2. Start engine and run at idle. Select ACTIVE TEST mode on hand-held tester.
  3. Test actuator motor operation. See Actuator Motor Operation .
  4. Test wheel solenoid operation. See WHEEL SOLENOID OPERATION .
  5. Clear DTC. See CLEARING CODES  under SELF-DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM.
