Malfunction is detected if ECM receives a voltage reading of power source for sensor that is excessively low or high. Possible causes are:
- Harness or connectors
- The Throttle Position (TP) sensor 1 and 2 circuit is shorted.
- Accelerator Pedal Position (APP) sensor 1 circuit is shorted.
- (Mass Airflow (MAF) sensor circuit is shorted.
- EVAP control system pressure sensor circuit is shorted.
- Power Steering Pressure (PSP) sensor circuit is shorted.
- Refrigerant pressure sensor circuit is shorted.
- Electric throttle control actuator (TP sensor 1 and 2).
- APP sensor (APP sensor 1).
- MAF sensor.
- EVAP control system pressure sensor.
- PSP sensor.
- Refrigerant pressures sensor.
- ECM pin terminal.
