DTC Confirmation Test

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2003 Infiniti G35. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
NOTE: If a DTC confirmation test has been previously performed, turn ignition off and wait at least 10 seconds before performing next DTC confirmation test.
  1. Turn ignition on.
  2. Select DATA MONITOR mode with scan tool.
  3. Wait at least 10 seconds. If NG is displayed, go to DIAGNOSTIC PROCEDURE  . If OK is displayed, go to next step.
  4. Check COOLAN TEMP/S value. If COOLAN TEMP/S value is less than 140°F (60°C), the result will be OK. If COOLAN TEMP/S is above 140°F (60°C), go to next step.
  5. Cool engine down until COOLAN TEMP/S is less than 140°F (60°C).
  6. Wait at least 10 seconds.
  7. If 1st trip DTC is detected, go to DIAGNOSTIC PROCEDURE  . If 1st trip DTC is not detected, system is okay at this time.
