DTC Confirmation Test (Using CONSULT-II)

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2003 Infiniti G35. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
NOTE: If a DTC confirmation test has been previously performed, turn ignition off and wait at least 10 seconds before performing next DTC confirmation test.
  1. Turn ignition on. Select DATA MONITOR mode with CONSULT-II.
  2. Start engine and warm it to normal operating temperature.
  3. Turn ignition off and wait at least 10 seconds.
  4. Start engine and keep engine speed at 3500-4000 RPM for at least one minute under no load.
  5. Let engine idle for one minute.
  6. Ensure COOLAN TEMP/S indicated more than 158° (70°C). If not, warm engine to specified temperature. Then, go to next step.
  7. Select HO2S2 (B1) P0139 or HO2S2 (B2) P0159 of HO2S2 in DTC WORK SUPPORT mode with CONSULT-II.
  8. Start engine. Follow instructions on CONSULT-II screen. Press SELF-DIAG RESULTS. If NG is displayed, go to DIAGNOSTIC PROCEDURE  . If OK is displayed, system is okay at this time. If CANNOT BE DIAGNOSED is displayed, go to next step.
  9. Turn ignition off and leave the vehicle in a cool place (soak the vehicle). Return to step  1 .
