Sound Is Not Heard From Subwoofer (Premium System)

  1. CHECK FUSE 
    • Check that the following fuse is not blown.
    CHECK FUSE

    Unit Terminal Signal name Fuse No.
    Audio amp. 17 Battery power 17
    1 Battery power 31

    OK or NG 

    1. OK: GO TO 2.
    2. NG: If fuse is blown, be sure to eliminate cause of problem before installing new fuse. Refer to POWER DISTRIBUTION .
  2. POWER SUPPLY CIRCUIT CHECK 
    1. Disconnect audio amp. connector.
    2. Check voltage between the audio amp. and ground.
      AUDIO AMP. CONNECTOR TERMINALS VOLTAGE

    OK or NG 

    1. OK: GO TO 3.
    2. NG:
      • Check connector housings for disconnected or loose terminals.
      • Repair harness or connector.

  3. GROUND CIRCUIT CHECK 

    Check continuity between audio amp. harness connector M112 terminal 4 (B) and ground, and 20 (B) and ground.

    Continuity should exist. 

    OK or NG 

    1. OK: GO TO 4.
    2. NG:
      • Check connector housings for disconnected or loose terminals.
      • Repair harness or connector.

  4. HARNESS CHECK 
    1. Disconnect audio amp. connector and subwoofer connector.
    2. Check continuity between audio amp. harness connector terminal and subwoofer harness connector harness connector terminal.

    3. Check continuity between BOSE speaker amp. harness connector terminal and ground.

    OK or NG 

    1. OK: GO TO 5.
    2. NG:
      • Check connector housings for disconnected or loose terminals.
      • Repair harness or connector.
  5. WOOFER SIGNAL CHECK 
    1. Connect audio amp. connector and subwoofer connector.
    2. Turn ignition switch to ACC.
    3. Check the signal audio amp. harness connector terminal with CONSULT-II or oscilloscope.

    OK or NG 

    1. OK: Replace subwoofer. Refer to , "REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION OF SUBWOOFER (PREMIUM SYSTEM)  ".
    2. NG: Replace audio amp. Refer to , "REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION OF AUDIO AMP.  ".
