Roof Headlining: Installation

HINT:

A bolt without a torque specification is shown in the standard bolt chart (see STANDARD BOLT ).

  1. INSTALL SIDE RAIL SPACER FRONT LH (w/o Curtain Shield Airbag) 
  2. INSTALL SIDE RAIL SPACER FRONT RH (w/o Curtain Shield Airbag) 
  3. INSTALL SIDE RAIL SPACER REAR LH (w/o Curtain Shield Airbag) 
  4. INSTALL SIDE RAIL SPACER REAR RH (w/o Curtain Shield Airbag) 
  5. INSTALL ROOF HEADLINING ASSEMBLY 
    1. Attach the wire harness to the headlining with tape as shown in the illustration.

      HINT:

      Be careful that dirt and foreign matter do not contaminate the tape's adhesive.

    2. Attach the roof wire harness with tape.
      NOTE:

      Attach the roof wire harness securely.

    3. Attach the 26 fasteners to install the headlining.
    4. Install the 2 clips.

  6. INSTALL COAT HOOK 
    1. Install the coat hook with the bolt and attach the claw.

  7. INSTALL ASSIST GRIP SUB-ASSEMBLY 
    1. Attach the 4 claws to install the assist grip.

  8. INSTALL ASSIST GRIP COVER 
    1. Attach the 4 claws to install the 2 covers.
  9. INSTALL VISOR HOLDER LH 
    1. Install the visor holder by turning it clockwise.
  10. INSTALL VISOR HOLDER RH 
    1. Install the visor holder by turning it clockwise.
  11. INSTALL LH VISOR ASSEMBLY 
    1. Install the visor with the 2 screws.
  12. INSTALL RH VISOR ASSEMBLY 
    1. Install the visor with the 2 screws.
  13. INSTALL NO. 2 ROOM LIGHT ASSEMBLY 
    1. Attach the light to the deck trim side panel LH.
  14. INSTALL NO. 1 ROOM LIGHT ASSEMBLY 
    1. Connect the room light connector.
    2. Attach the 4 claws to install the light.

    3. Attach the 4 claws to install the lens.
  15. INSTALL MAP LIGHT ASSEMBLY 
    1. Connect the map light connector.

    2. Attach the 3 clips to install the light.

  16. INSTALL FRONT PILLAR GARNISH LH 
    1. w/o Curtain shield airbag:

      Attach the 2 clips to install the garnish.

    2. w/ Curtain shield airbag:
      1. Remove the protective cover.

      2. Attach the 2 clips to install the garnish.

        HINT:

        Clip B cannot be reused.

  17. INSTALL FRONT PILLAR GARNISH RH 

    HINT:

    Use the same procedures described for the LH side.

  18. INSTALL ROOF SIDE GARNISH ASSEMBLY INNER LH 
    1. w/o Curtain shield airbag:

      Attach the 4 clips to install the garnish.

    2. w/ Curtain shield airbag:

      Attach the 4 clips to install the garnish.

      HINT:

      Clip B cannot be reused.

  19. INSTALL ROOF SIDE GARNISH ASSEMBLY INNER RH 

    HINT:

    Use the same procedures described for the LH side.

  20. INSTALL DECK TRIM SIDE PANEL ASSEMBLY LH 
    1. Attach the 4 claws and 4 clips to install the side panel.
    2. Install the rope hook with the bolt.
    3. Install the luggage hook.
  21. INSTALL DECK TRIM SIDE PANEL ASSEMBLY RH 

    HINT:

    Use the same procedures described for the LH side.

  22. INSTALL ROOF SIDE GARNISH INNER LOWER LH 
    1. Attach the 5 clips to install the garnish.

  24. INSTALL CENTER PILLAR GARNISH LH 
    1. w/o Curtain shield airbag:

      Attach the clip to install the garnish.

    2. w/ Curtain shield airbag:

      Attach the 2 claws and clip to install the garnish.

    3. Install the 2 screws.
  25. INSTALL CENTER PILLAR GARNISH RH

    Use the same procedures described for the LH side.

  26. INSTALL NO. 1 SIDE TRIM ASSEMBLY LH 
    1. Attach the 3 claws and 8 clips to install the trim.
    2. Attach the clip labeled A.
    3. Install the hook.
    4. Install the 2 floor anchor bolts (front and rear seat belt).
  27. INSTALL NO. 1 SIDE TRIM ASSEMBLY RH 

    HINT:

    Use the same procedures described for the LH side.

  28. INSTALL FRONT DOOR OPENING TRIM WEATHERSTRIP LH 
  29. INSTALL FRONT DOOR OPENING TRIM WEATHERSTRIP RH 
  30. INSTALL REAR SEATBACK ASSEMBLY LH (See  INSTALLATION  ) 
  31. INSTALL REAR SEATBACK ASSEMBLY RH (See  INSTALLATION  ) 
  32. INSTALL REAR SEAT CUSHION ASSEMBLY (See  INSTALLATION  )

  33. INSTALL COWL SIDE TRIM SUB-ASSEMBLY LH 
    1. Attach the 2 clips to install the trim.
    2. Install the cap nut.
  34. INSTALL COWL SIDE TRIM SUB-ASSEMBLY RH

    1. Attach the 10 claws to install the scuff plate.

    1. Attach the 4 clips to install the scuff plate.

    1. Attach the clip to install the board.

  40. INSTALL NO. 1 DECK BOARD 
    1. Attach the 4 clips to install the deck board.
    2. Install the rope hook with the bolt.
  41. INSTALL DECK FLOOR BOX REAR 
  42. INSTALL DECK FLOOR BOX LH 
    1. Install the box with the 2 clips.
  43. INSTALL DECK FLOOR BOX RH 
    1. Install the box with the 2 clips.
  44. INSTALL SPARE WHEEL COVER ASSEMBLY

  45. INSTALL BACK DOOR WEATHERSTRIP

    1. Attach the 4 clips to install the scuff plate.
  47. INSTALL DECK BOARD SUB-ASSEMBLY 
  48. INSTALL TONNEAU COVER ASSEMBLY
