WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2002 Nissan Maxima and 2002 Infiniti I35. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. Check connector. Turn ignition switch "OFF". Check the following terminals and connectors for damage, bent and loose connection (control module side and harness side):
    • TCM connector (F51). See Figure under CONNECTOR IDENTIFICATION.
    • Harness connector (F55). See Figure under CONNECTOR IDENTIFICATION.
    • Harness connector (M162). See Figure under CONNECTOR IDENTIFICATION.
    • Harness connector (M15). See Figure under CONNECTOR IDENTIFICATION.
    • Harness connector (E81). See Figure under CONNECTOR IDENTIFICATION.

If terminals and connectors are okay, go to next step. If terminals and connectors are not okay, repair terminals and connectors.

  2. Check harness for open circuit. Turn ignition switch "OFF". Disconnect TCM connector. Check resistance between TCM harness connector (F51), terminals No. 5 and 6, harness side. If resistance is 108-132 ohms, replace TCM. If resistance is not 108-132 ohms, repair harness between ABS/TCS control unit and TCM.
