Side Air Bag Module

NOTE:
If side air bag module has deployed, seat back assembly must be replaced. Removal procedure is for deployment only.
Before proceeding, see AIR BAG SAFETY PRECAUTIONS . Disable air bag system. See DISABLING & ACTIVATING AIR BAG SYSTEM . Remove appropriate front seat from vehicle. Remove seat back trim and pad. Using clip removal tool, remove seat back finisher. Disconnect side air bag module connector. Remove nuts securing side air module to seat back frame. See Fig 1 . Remove side air bag module from seat back frame.
