With Consult Tester

  1. After system is repaired, connect both battery cables. Connect CONSULT tester and CONSULT CONVERTER to Data Link Connector (DLC). See Figure . Turn ignition on. Touch START (NISSAN BASED VEHICLE) on CONSULT tester. Touch AIR BAG. Touch SELF-DIAG (CURRENT). If no fault message is present, repair is complete. Go to next step. If fault message is present, problem has not been repaired or another problem is present. Go to PRESENT FAULT MESSAGES  .
  2. Touch ERASE on CONSULT tester. Touch BACK until SELECT DIAG MODE appears. Touch SELF-DIAG (PAST). Ensure no fault message is present. Touch BACK until SELECT SYSTEM appears. This returns system to USER mode from DIAGNOSIS mode. Turn ignition off. Turn off CONSULT tester. Disconnect CONSULT tester and CONSULT CONVERTER from DLC. Verify AIR BAG warning light is functioning correctly. Go to SYSTEM OPERATION CHECK  .
