Probable Cause
NOTE:
Ensure battery voltage is more than 10 volts at idle.
NOTE:
When DTC P1124 is detected in 2 consecutive trips, the ECM enters fail-safe mode and the MIL turns on.
Code will set when ECM detects throttle control motor relay is stuck on. Possible causes are:
For DTC P1124:
- Throttle control motor relay is shorted.
- Throttle control motor relay failed.
Code will set when ECM detects voltage supply from power source to throttle control motor is excessively low. Possible causes are:
NOTE:
When DTC P1126 is detected even in the first trip, the ECM enters fail-safe mode and the MIL turns on.
For DTC P1126:
- Throttle control motor relay is open.
- Throttle control motor relay failed.
