DTC Confirmation Test

Malfunction is detected when proper pulse signal from Intake Valve Timing Control (IVTC) position sensor if not received from ECM while engine is running at specified speed. Possible causes are:

To set DTC, turn ignition on. Select DATA MONITOR with scan tool. Start engine and run at 2000 RPM for at least 15 seconds. If first trip DTC is detected, go to PROCEDURE .
