DTC Confirmation Test (Overall Function Check)

NOTE: Use the following test to check overall function of A/T control circuits. During this test, DTC may not be confirmed.

A/T control circuits are used to control shifting during hard acceleration or deceleration. Malfunction is detected when ECM receives incorrect voltage from Transmission Control Module (TCM) continuously. Possible cause is; open or short in circuit between TCM and ECM.

CAUTION: DO NOT use ECM ground terminals when measuring voltage.

To check overall function of A/T control circuits, start engine. Measure voltage between ground and ECM terminal No. 26 (Green/White wire) and No. 27 (White wire) by backprobing. See Figure and Figure . Voltage should be 6-8 volts. If voltage is not as specified, perform DIAGNOSTIC PROCEDURE .
