Models Without Multi-Remote Control System

  1. Check Door Lock Actuator Output

Turn ignition off. Measure voltage between ground and terminal No. 4 (Red/Black wire) at Time Control Unit (TCU) harness connector. Battery voltage should be present with door lock/unlock switch in LOCK position. If voltage is as specified, go to next step. If voltage is not as specified, replace TCU after performing DOOR LOCK/UNLOCK SWITCH CHECK. See DOOR LOCK/UNLOCK SWITCH CHECK  .
  2. Turn ignition off. Measure voltage between ground and terminal No. 5 (White/Red wire) at TCU harness connector. Battery voltage should be present with door lock/unlock switch in UNLOCK position. If voltage is as specified, go to next step. If voltage is not as specified, replace TCU after performing DOOR LOCK/UNLOCK SWITCH CHECK. See DOOR LOCK/UNLOCK SWITCH CHECK  .
  3. Check Door Lock Actuator

Disconnect door lock actuator harness connectors. Using fused jumper wires, connect battery voltage to door lock actuator terminal No. 1 and ground to terminal No. 3. See WIRING DIAGRAMS  . Repeat procedure for each actuator. Door lock actuators should lock. Reverse jumper wires, door lock actuators should unlock. If operation is not as specified, replace door lock actuator. If operation is as specified, check for open or short in wiring harness between door lock actuator and TCU. Repair as necessary.
