Models With Multi-Remote Control System
- Check Door Lock Actuator Operation
Using Nissan CONSULT scan tool, select ACTIVE TEST mode in DOOR LOCK. Select ALL D/LK MTR and touch ON. Select DR D/UN MTR and touch ON. Then select NON DR D/UN and touch ON. Door lock actuators should operate. If operation is as specified, door lock actuators are okay. If operation is not as specified, go to next step.
- Check Door Lock Actuator Output
Turn ignition off. Measure voltage between ground and terminal No. 13 (Blue/Red wire) at Smart Entrance Control Unit (SECU) harness connector. Battery voltage should be present with door lock/unlock switch in UNLOCK position. If voltage is as specified, go to next step. If voltage is not as specified, replace SECU after performing DOOR LOCK/UNLOCK SWITCH CHECK. See DOOR LOCK/UNLOCK SWITCH CHECK
.
- Turn ignition off. Measure voltage between ground and terminal No. 15 (Red/Black wire) at SECU harness connector. Battery voltage should be present with door lock/unlock switch in LOCK position. If voltage is as specified, go to next step. If voltage is not as specified, replace SECU after performing DOOR LOCK/UNLOCK SWITCH CHECK. See DOOR LOCK/UNLOCK SWITCH CHECK
.
- Check Door Lock Actuator
Disconnect door lock actuator harness connectors. Using fused jumper wires, connect battery voltage to door lock actuator terminal No. 1 and ground to terminal No. 3. See WIRING DIAGRAMS
. Repeat procedure for each actuator. Door lock actuators should lock. Reverse jumper wires, door lock actuators should unlock. If operation is not as specified, replace door lock actuator. If operation is as specified, check for open or short in wiring harness between door lock actuator and SECU. Repair as necessary.
