Diagnostic Procedure Using Scan Tool

To retrieve self-diagnostic results, connect scan tool to Data Link Connector (DLC), located under left side of dash, near passenger compartment fuse/relay block. Turn ignition on. Turn cruise control main switch to ON position. On scan tool, select START, then ASCD. Select SELF-DIAG RESULTS. Self-diagnostic results are shown on scan tool display. Proceed to appropriate system tests based on self-diagnostic results retrieved. See FAULT MESSAGE DESCRIPTION  table.
