Horn Reminder Check

  1. Inspect Horn Operation

    Operate horn. If horn does not function correctly, repair as needed. See STEERING COLUMN SWITCHES article.

  2. Check Horn Reminder Operation

    Turn ignition off. Disconnect Smart Entrance Control Unit (SECU) harness connector. Using a jumper wire, apply ground to terminal No. 19 (White/Green wire) at SECU harness connector. See Figure . See WIRING DIAGRAMS  . If horn sounds, replace SECU. If horn does not sound, check wiring harness for open or short between SECU and horn relay.
