Cruise Control Main Switch Check

  1. Turn ignition off. Disconnect cruise control main switch harness connector. Turn ignition on. Using DVOM, measure voltage between terminals No. 1 and 4 at switch harness connector. See WIRING DIAGRAMS  . If battery voltage is present, go to next step. If battery voltage is not present, check fuses and replace if necessary. If fuses are okay, check for open or short in cruise control main switch power supply and ground circuits. Repair as necessary.
  2. Check cruise control main switch. See CRUISE CONTROL MAIN SWITCH  under COMPONENT TESTS. Replace if necessary. If switch is okay, go to ASCD HOLD RELAY CHECK  .
