Diagnostic Procedure Using Scan Tool
To retrieve self-diagnostic results, connect scan tool to Data Link Connector (DLC), located under instrument panel next to interior fuse block. Turn ignition on. Turn cruise control main switch to ON position. On scan tool, select START, then ASCD. Select SELF-DIAG RESULTS. Self-diagnostic results are shown on scan tool display. Proceed to appropriate system tests based on self-diagnostic results retrieved. See FAULT MESSAGE DESCRIPTION table.
