Clearing Memory

When disconnecting LCU harness connectors for more than one minute, "disconnected" data is memorized by BCM. After reconnecting harness connectors, memory must be cleared. To clear BCM memory with scan tool, turn ignition on. Select IVMS, IVMS COMM CHECK, then IVMS COMM DIAGNOSIS on scan tool. Touch START, then ERASE. To clear BCM memory without scan tool, turn ignition off. Temporarily remove fuse No. 56 (7.5-amp), located in fuse and fusible link box. See WIRING DIAGRAMS  .
