Antenna Check

  1. Check Antenna Feeder Cable

    Disconnect antenna feeder cable from Smart Entrance Control Unit (SECU). Remove rear pillar garnish. Disconnect antenna feeder cable from rear window antenna. Using DVOM, check antenna feeder cable for continuity. Continuity should be present. Ensure continuity is not present between antenna feeder cable and ground. If continuity is as specified, go to next step. If continuity is not as specified, replace antenna feeder cable.
    NOTE: For the next step, wrap a piece of tin foil around DVOM probe to provide better contact with antenna filament.

  2. Check Antenna

    Using DVOM, ensure continuity is present between antenna terminal and end of antenna. Repair antenna if continuity is not present. See ANTENNA FILAMENT REPAIR  under ON-VEHICLE SERVICE.
