Bench Testing: Diodes

Unsolder diodes from stator terminals. Using DVOM, check continuity of all diodes in both directions. Ensure continuity is present in one direction only. See Fig 1. If continuity is present in both directions, diode is shorted. If continuity is not present in either direction, diode is open. If any diode is faulty, replace entire diode assembly.
