Command Switch Assembly

NOTE: Command switch assembly may also be referred to as steering switch.
  1. Remove command switch assembly from steering wheel. Check continuity between terminals No. 21 and 22 while pressing SET/COAST switch. See Fig 1 . Reverse ohmmeter leads and repeat continuity check. Continuity should exist in both directions.
  2. Check continuity between terminals No. 21 and 23 while pressing RESUME/ACCEL switch. Reverse ohmmeter leads and repeat continuity check. Continuity should exist in both directions.
  3. Check continuity between terminals No. 21 and 22 while pressing CANCEL switch. Reverse ohmmeter leads and repeat continuity check. Continuity should exist in one direction only.
  4. Check continuity between terminals No. 21 and 23 while pressing CANCEL switch. Reverse ohmmeter leads and repeat continuity check. Continuity should exist in one direction only. If continuity is not as specified for all measurements, replace switch assembly.
