Power & Ground Circuit Check

  1. Check Indicator  - Turn ignition and cruise control main switch on. If main switch indicator light illuminates, go to next step. If main switch indicator light does not illuminate, perform MAIN SWITCH CIRCUIT CHECK  .
  2. Check Power Circuit  - Disconnect cruise control module harness connector. Turn ignition and cruise control main switch on. Measure voltage between control module harness connector terminal No. 4 and ground. See Fig 1 . Battery voltage should exist. If battery voltage exists, go to next step. If battery voltage does not exist, perform ASCD HOLD RELAY CIRCUIT CHECK  .
  3. Check Ground Circuit  - Check continuity between control module harness connector terminal No. 3 and chassis ground. If continuity exists, power and ground circuits are okay. If continuity does not exist, repair open ground circuit.
