Starter - HITACHI: Description
Starter is a conventional 12-volt, 4-pole brush-type motor, with direct or reduction gear drive. See STARTER IDENTIFICATION DIRECTORY . The starter-mounted solenoid shifts overrunning clutch and pinion into flywheel when starter is energized.
