Suspension - Front: Description
All models use a MacPherson strut-type front suspension system. See Fig 1 and Fig 2 . Strut assembly consists of a shock absorber and coil spring. Upper end of strut is bolted to upper body of vehicle.
Lower end of strut is bolted to steering knuckle. Steering knuckle is attached to transverse link by a ball joint. On NX and Sentra, transverse links are attached to a suspension member by pivot bolts and compression rod clamp. On Stanza, transverse link is attached to a gusset by bushings, and stabilizer bar is attached to transverse link.
