Injector Test

  1. On Maxima and 300ZX models, check each injector for continuity. Resistance should be 3 ohms. If not, replace injector. If okay, check battery voltage at each injector.
  2. Disconnect ECU 15-pin connector. Measure voltage between injector harness terminal and ground with the ignition to the "OFF" position. Voltage should be battery voltage. If not, check harness and fusible link. If okay, check ECU harness.
  3. Check harness between ECU and connectors for continuity. Connect a lead jumper wire between injector connector terminals. Check voltage between 15-pin connector terminals No. 101, 102, 103, 104, 105, 106 and 114 and ground. If battery voltage is not present, repair or replace harness. If voltage is present, replace ECU.
