Self-Diagnostic Procedures

  1. Turn diagnosis selector on. Turn ignition switch to "ON" position without running engine. Make sure inspection lamps turn on and flash at the same time.
  2. If not, replace EFI control unit. If okay, depress accelerator pedal and turn A/C switch from "OFF" to "ON" to "OFF" position again. Look at inspection lamps. If there are codes other than 32, see appropriate test for code.
  3. If not, start engine. Look at inspection lamps. If vehicle has A/C, code should be 44. If not, code should be 31. If okay, test is complete. If not, see appropriate test for code.
