Intermittent Amplifier: Pickup

Connect jumper wires to amplifier. See Fig 1. Test lamp should come on when wire is connected to pin 3. Disconnect jumper wire from pin 2. Test lamp should go off, then come back on after 6 seconds. If not, replace amplifier.
