General Information: Notes

NOTE: In this service information, F.A.S.T.-key (Free-hand Advanced Security Transmitter) is described as Keyless Operation System (KOS).

With the conventional KOS adopted for OUTLANDER, the following changes have been made.

Door entry function: The unlocking control has been changed from the sensor system to the switch system, and the power door locks with selective unlocking has been added.
Keyless entry function: The multi-mode function has been changed, and the power door locks with selective unlocking has been added.
Warning/Alarms: The key reminder buzzer and the engine switch reminder buzzer have been added.
Engine start function: The system has been changed to the engine start system that supports OSS* (one-touch start system).
Engine starting method when keyless operation key battery is discharged: A change has been made to the control that does not use the emergency key and performs the control with the discharged keyless operation key inserted in the key box.

NOTE: OSS (one-touch start system): System that has the electrically actuated steering lock, and that allows the engine to be started and the vehicle power to be switched via the operation of engine switch.
