Engine Oil: Change
- Start the engine and allow it to warm up until the temperature of the engine coolant reaches 80 - 90°C (176 - 194°F).WARNING: Use care as oil could be hot.
- Remove the engine oil filler cap.
- Remove the engine oil pan drain plug to drain engine oil.
- Install a new engine oil pan drain plug gasket and then tighten the engine oil pan drain plug to the specified torque.
Tightening torque: 39 ± 5 N.m (29 ± 3 ft-lb)
- Refill the specified quantity of engine oil.
Specified Engine Oil: Engine oils displaying the ILSAC certification symbol ("Starburst" symbol) or conforming to the API classification SN
Total quantity (Includes volume inside engine oil filter): 4.3 dm 3 (4.52 quarts) < M/T >, 4.6 dm 3 (4.86 quarts) < CVT >
NOTE: If Mitsubishi motors Genuine 0W-20 Synthetic Motor Oil is not available, the ILSAC certification of 5W-20 grades can be used but should be changed to Mitsubishi motors Genuine 0W-20 Synthetic Motor Oil at the next oil change to maintain optimum fuel economy and good starting in cold weather. - Install the engine oil filler cap.
- Let the engine run for a few minutes.
- Stop the engine, and then check the engine oil level using the engine oil dipstick after a few minutes.
